First year
You will first become familiar with the quantitative foundations of economic science, through courses such as:
- Statistics - Basic statistical tools and probability
- Mathematics - Utility and training in logical thinking: mathematical analysis, linear algebra and financial mathematics
- Information systems - Computer models, design of online services; aspects of programming: introduction to the concept of computer language, syntax and semantics
Other course content relates directly to the economy, finance and management:
- Accounting - Financial accounting: principal accounting documents, accounting standards and accounting techniques
- Law - Legal bases and mechanisms enabling you to become familiar with the different areas of law affecting business and those responsible for it
- Management - General approach: key concepts and functions in business management, such as strategy, marketing and human resource management; organisational behaviour: understanding human behaviour within organisations
- Economics - Introduction to macro and micro economics
Second year
You will undertake more targeted study of branches of economics and management. You will also take an English language course and complete an individual project as part of your programme. You may choose 60 ECTS credits from a list of 17 courses (75 ECTS credits).
Third year
During the final year of the Bachelor's degree, you will focus on advanced theoretical and applied courses in political economy or in management, depending on your chosen programme.
If you opt for the programme leading to a Bachelor's degree in Economics, you will take basic and optional courses in economics, finance and statistics. You may also obtain a certain number of credits through recognition of courses and/or qualifications in languages, an internship, or through from the Management programme and/or other faculties.
If you opt for the programme leading to a Bachelor's degree in Management, you will take optional courses in disciplines such as marketing, finance, accounting, operational management, strategy, human resources, law, taxation etc. You may also obtain a certain number of credits through recognition of courses and/or qualifications in languages, an internship, or courses from the Political Economy programme and/or other faculties.
