Support for foreign languages speakers in Master

Students who are speakers of other languages enrolled on a Master’s programme at the University of Lausanne may be entitled to mentoring support through SASME.

You will be welcomed to Lausanne by a bilingual student (French-English) who will be responsible for helping you with various academic and administrative procedures.

The student will make contact with you by e-mail before your arrival in Switzerland and you will be offered support in the following areas:

• Administrative procedures (residence permit, health and accident insurance, etc.)

• Practical information about life in Lausanne (opening a bank account, leisure, public transport, doctors, shopping, etc.)

• Information about UNIL (studying for a Master’s, enrolment, regulations, secretarial services, classrooms, IT, student services, libraries, etc.)

Warning : The registration for the 2020 buddy programme are closed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional welcome day cannot take place during the welcome week. It is replaced by a welcom video, which will be available as soon as Thursday, September 10. An email containing the link to the video will be sent to you on September 10.
